Abstract(in English) | In general, it is difficult to transform printed documents into electronic ones though sophisticated OCR's are available in recent years. In order to solve this prolbem, we propose a new method of emdedding and recovery of a large amount of data for printed documents. Our method is characterized by the point that the data are recorded in stippled arbitrary marks printed on the background of a printed document, which serve just as background patterns for humans. This enables us to record a large amount of data without deteriorating the appearance of a printed document. From the preliminary experiments, we have confirmed that the method is capable of embedding about 8KB of data, as well as recovering 98.6% of embedded data. |
