Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a registration technique for high-precision depth representation in the stereoscopic display. Only adjusting the distance between viewpoints (pupil distance) had performed registration in the ordinal method, but it depended on the depth the viewer looked at and it was a demerit for implementation. The viewpoints and the screen for rendering are translated along the viewing direction in addition to viewpoint distance adjustment in this method. And it works well independently of the location of the object. The optimal amount of adjustment was decided using sample values of depth differences. Effectiveness of the method is discussed with the experimental results.
