Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In color image processing, the transformation of the color space is popular for the segmentation of an object such as a face, hand and so on. Many transformation methods used for the color image processing, however the comparison of these transformations have not been researched. In this paper, we compare the performance of these transformations(HSV, YES, YIQ, L^*a^*b^*)for the segmentation of a hand from a color image. We employ the evaluation function(correct rate-surplus rate)of the hand segmentation, and it is comfirmed that the HSV color space shows the best performance.
