Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is difficult to match the color appearance between different color devices like a display and a printer. In order to solve the problem, color appearance models were proposed. These models may not, however, be able to match the good color appearance for natural images. We developed a new color matching method based on color constancy theory. We further extended the method to allow incomplete chromatic adaptation by introducing a new assumption that, in human color recognition process, object colors are estimated to be chanfing according to illumination change. Our experiments show the validity of our method.
