Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the use of the same imge data for both printing and computer or television display has become easier through digitization. However, the difference in color gamut depending on the device makes the transformation between the two mediums difficult. We describe a technique for using fluorescent paint to enhance the gamut area of printings. Because fluorescent paint color depend on ultraviolet light, we conducted color measurement experiments under typical indoor fluorescent lights. We confirmed that fluorescent paint can enhance the producible color area and maintain color stability as well as other paints. By using these results, color tranformation from NTSC to hard copy printings will be easier.
