Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been developing an Office Robot, Jijo-2, in the MITTs RWC Project.Unlike traditional robots in factories where production lines are customizable for machines operated by expert engineers, office robots are expected to provide route gudance, delivery services, etc., in ordinary and dynamically changing environments with novice robot users.Such office robots should be able to integrate sensory data from vision, voice recognition, sonar, etc.to acquire information about environment and people autonomously. This paper describes the outline of the robot architecture, face recognition, sound source detection, map learning in cinversation, together with the project formation.
