A speaker position detection system using the relative positions of camera and microphone array

Abstract(in English) This paper describes a method for detecting speakers' position using audio and visual informations.With this method, we can change the position of a microphone array, which is a sensor of audio subsystem, and it keeps high degree of detection rate in a noisy environment.Our method consits of two processes.1)The audio and vision subsystem detect the each sensor position and determine the relative positions of camera and microphone array.2)The integfration subsystem determines speakers' position integrating audio and visual informations.To integrate audio and visual informationa, the system uses the relavtive positions of sensors. Experiments show that the arrangement of microphones, elements of the microphone array, affects the accuracy of relative positions we achieved, and in a noisy environment the proposed shows detection rate of 90%.
