Proposal of a Method for Image Understanding using Self-organized Data of Image and Text

Abstract(in English) We propose a method for image understanding using image and text databases that linked to each other.In this method, text data are allocated a space of word organized by a nonlinear clustering method using two-term rellationship.Image data are also allocated in a lower dimensional space by applying a nonlinear clutering method to their features extracted from image.The distance between texts is embedded in the image space through the clustering.Using both kinds of clistered data, related sentences are extracted from an inputed unknown image by retrieving similar images which are linked with texts.We made an experiment using about 8, 000 pairs of image s and texts to investigate how an unknown image produces relevant sentences.
