Abstract(in English) | In the JPEG lossless mode, the prediction error is entropy-encoded by either Huffman coder or binary arithmetic coder so-called QM-Coder. In the case where the latter is employed, a statistical model is required. The statistical model notates some binary decisions for the prediction error and Markov model conditioning by making use of the previous coded pels. In this paper, although Markov model conditioning is same as JPEG we discuss some schemes of binary representation and state assignment by referring a prediction error distribution of Super High definition Images. The proposed model needs 104 states, which correspond to approximately 2/3 of JPEG. The simuration results show that proposed model provides 1.204~1.556% better compression performance than that of JPEG. |
