| Abstract(in English) | It is not unusual to get lost the way in urban area, even if we had a topographic map or a car navigation system. This shows the difficulty for matching the real objects to those on the map. This is one of problems to be solved for current navigation systems. We have built an experimental system called Mobile Magic View, that gives users navigating information overlaid on the actual live video image. A video camera, a GPS and a 3D directional sensor are located on a vehicle. In addition, the systm creates continuous panoramic view on the fly. Applying it makes navigating information more visible and easy to view. |
