Abstract(in English) | We propose an on-line writing box free regognition method of handwritten text. Our method is achieved by the following procedure. First, an average character size of handwitten text is estimated. Secondly, we detect candidates of character segmentation by using geometric features between two adjacent strokes. Finally, we search for the string which maximizes the evaluation score as Japanese text by means of DP(Dynamic Programming). The experimental result shows that the evaluation which reflects variation of charcter sizes is effective in recognition of Japanese handwitten text. |
