Multiple Range Data Integration by Considering Shape Distortion Caused by Measurement Error

Abstract(in English) In this paper, a method for the multiple range data registration. Some methods for the range data registration using only object surface features can not be applied for smooth shape. There exist shape distortion caused by measurement error. Proposed method detects corresponding points between range data from different viewpoints using color information on the surface. This method also eliminates shape distortion which is generated by measurement error such as lens distortion. Some experiments using real range images are shown.
