Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we studied a method to generate a woodcut print from a virtual printing block set in a virtual 3-D space. The virtual printing block is made with a virtual sculpture system. We put a virtual paper sheet over this printing block and change a distance from the sheet to the printing block with a virtual printing brush 'baren' which we operate using a mouse device. A grey value of each point on the virtual paper is decided by the distance at each point, thus a woodcut print is generated in responce to ups and downs of the printing block or operation of the virtual 'baren'. We also studied a method of automatic preparation of a virtual printing block from an image.
