Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A method of shape extraction using a cellular computing architecture is proposed. The method is based on the Hough transform. It can use the localized and continuous nature of shapes, which is suggested by the Gestalt Psychology, as a constraint for the image analyzed. These nature is not used in the ordinary Hough transform. An experiment performed using ideal-noise-free-images shows that we need an improvement of convergence speed for this method to become practical.
