A Proposal for Line Detection by Digital Template Hough Transform(DTHT)

Abstract(in English) We are not free from the side effect caused by the digitization of the image also in Hough transform. Since Hough transform detects lines by line equation, it is finally needed to extract digital line segments from analog line equations. In this paper, we propose a new method DTHT(Digital Template Hough Transform) to detect digital line segments directly from digital edge image, The basic idea of DTHT method is that template line equation in Hough transform can be replaced by digital line segment. DTHT can be regarded as a Hough transform with 4 dimensional parameter space.
