Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We proposed the improved combination method to detect lines and circles by selecting local poles adequately on figures. In the combination method using the local polar coordinates, a 1-dimensional voting array is used for line detection and a 2-dimensional one is used for circle detection. The circle detection influences processing time strongly. Thus we considered to reduce array size in circle detection to 1-dimension, by selecting local poles based on upper shape of circles. Experiments were done on images consisting of lines and circles. As a result, we confirmed that both figures are detected fast by this improved combination method using a 1-dimensional array to vote.
