| Abstract(in English) | An algorithm is presented that identifies the font typeface of printed Japanese characters.Typeface can help in understanding the structure of a document,for example,gothic font sometimes lend emphasis.The system presented in this paper uses many features including pixel density,vertical run1ength histogram,stroke thickness,extracting serif and so on and classifies Mincho and Gothic font.Experimental results ShoWs high accuracy achieved on a database of many document images. |
