Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | A method is proposed by which a facial expression on one's face is transformed to that on other person's face. In this method, the probabilities of muscle states (static, contracting, ending) are computed for each frame of an image sequence based on Hidden Markov models (HMM) trained for each expression. Then, the 3D wire-frame model is modified in proportion to the probabilities of the contraction state. We obtained good results from the experiment in which the six principal facial expressions (anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, and surprise) were transformed. |
