Abstract(in English)	This paper is devoted to stimulate an open discussion among researchers, engineers and business planners having strong interest in character recgnition technology, products and industry. As well known, character recognition is the most cultivated pattern recognition field in the meaning of commercialization. In 1980's, the fundamental problem of expanding recognition character category has been solved in Japan. And in 1990's a variety of products are provided in the marketplace. However, they are the results of early day's concept. We need a novel vision for the 21st century, in order to get more hopeful positioning and penetration in out society. Some ideas or guidelines for this purpose are presented here.
