Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a new intelligent fire detection system from the time series of a smoke density in early stage. Our system uses Curvature, Gradient of a circle and Height Distribution (CGHD) as a feature vector. The circle is made by the set of three sequential points on the time series. This system uses Modified Bayes Discriminant Function (MBDF) based on Principal Component Analysis as a statistical discriminant function. We evaluated experimentally an efficiency of our method for actual 171 unknown time series. The mean of the estimation rates for fire/non-fire classes is 84.4%. The mean of judgement time is reduced by using section transition method.
