Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A method is proposed for seletion of the optimal mostion-stereo frame from a sequence of stereo frames taken of a moving object, at which the shape of the object can be obtained most reliablly by motion-stereo method. On the assumption that the background is static and the object is rigid, the reliable correspondencies can be considered to be consistent either to static condition or rigid motion condition. By examining how well the obtained correspondencies call be segmented to rigid motion region and static region, we can select the optimal mostion-stereo frame at which the partial shape of the object can be obtained most reliablly and easily. The partial shape obtained at each selected motion-stereo frame are then used to generate the 3D object, model by the integrating algorithm.
