Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new monitoring system of manufacturing plants and so on. The subject is to improve the image sequence using the image processing techniques for easy monitoring. The mobile inspection robot moving on the rail in the plant gives the image sequence, in which interested objects are often partially occluded by the obstacles such as pillars or fence. In our method, pixel based fine obstacle regions are extracted by the distance measured from the spatiotemporal image. And the intensity of occluded pixels are precisely interpolated using the intensity and distance information of each pixel before and after the current frame. Then, we can remove unnecessary obstacles from the image sequence.
