Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose the deformable model for tracking the continual motions of the facial components in facial images. The direction and range of the deformation of each facial component are physically constrained by the facial muscles. By using the directions and locations of the facial muscles, the component model can be described with a few parameters and can be deformed only in the proper range and to the proper direction. The model parameters are obtained from the deformations of the facial muscles, and hence the proposed model can be easily applied to the anatomical analysis of the facial expressions.
