Uplink System Capacity of W-CDMA with Adaptive Antenna Array Receiver

Abstract(in English) In order to evaluate uplink system capacity of W-CDMA with adaptive antenna array (AAA) receiver, we used system simulators that apply distributed mobile stations over a cell, renewal of antenna weight, and transmit power control. In this paper, we made up a theoretical model of W-CDMA uplink with AAA receiver, and deduce the theoretical equation that gives the system capacity. By this equation, we optimized the relation between system capacity and the number of sectors per a cell, the number of array elements per a sector, the pattern of the array element, the ratio of other-cell interference to self-cell interference by considering of the practical antenna pattern.
