Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In uplink, since the different doppler shifts are caused by the independent action of each user and each user's transmitted signals are converted with the different carrier localized oscillators (LOs) at the MS, each user's signals are affected by the different frequency offsets. The frequency offset destroys the subcarrier's orthogonality and degrades the perfromace of the Multi-Carrier CDMA(MC-CDMA). The minimum mean square error based multi-user detection (MMSE-.MUD) may be expected to compensate the different frequency offset of each user under the favor of the multi-user detection. In this report, we analyze the effects of the frequency offset compensation with the MMSE-MUD for MC-CDMA in a quasi-synchronous uplink. From the theoretical analysis and computer simulation, we show that the MMSE-MUD can compensate the frequency offset and significantly improve the BER.
