Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new pre-weighting simultaneous transmission scheme for down-link in a ubiquious antenna system. The proposed system is composed of multiple radio base stations deployed over the service area, a central control station and radio-on-fiber links that connect the radio base stations to the central control station. The central control station performs pre-weighting for each transmitting signal by using channel parameters estimated during previous up-link transmission. The proposed system enables to achieve the space division multiplexing reception of co-channel signals without any signal processing at mobile terminals. Computer simulation shows the improvement of spectral efficiency achieved by the proposed system.
