Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper clarified the optimum channel-coding rate for two traffic class (i.E., real time traffic and non-real time traffic) according to the required QoS (delay) of broadband packet OFCDM( Orthogonal Frequency and Code Division Multiplexing) wireless access, based on the achievable throughput and residual packet error rare (PER). In concrete, the optimum coding rate employing turbo coding is derived assuming the maximum retransmission numbers in ARQ corresponding to the delay requirement each traffic class. Simulation results elucidate that for non-real time traffic, the optimum coding rate becomes R=2/3-4/5 based on the throughput in overall environments in a 24-path Rayleigh fading channel (exponentially distributed path model, maximum delay time is approximately 1.4μsec) in a single cell environment. Furthermore, it is also clarified that the lower coding rate such as R=1/3-1/2 is appropriate for real time traffic based on the residual PER because the allowable retransmission numbers are restricted.
