A Study on Channel Allocation in Mobile Communications Using the Genetic Algorithm

Abstract(in English) In the cellular mobile communication system, the radio channel is repeatedly reuse in order to efficiently utilize the finite frequency resources. It is difficult to attempt the radio channel configuration optimization in the short time, as the cell number increases. In this paper, the method of fixed channel allocation in mobile communication was examined using genetic algorithm. At first the optimization whole cell was divided into subgroups cells for efficiently obtaining the solution. It is shown that the efficient fixed channel configuration is possible to calculate the channel allocation of the whole cell by combining with the subgroup cells.
