Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The ESPAR antenna is an adaptive array antenna whose features include small size, low power consumption and low cost. The ESPAR antenna is expected to be used as a terminal antenna for wireless mobile communications. It is necessary that on original adaptive algorithm for the ESPAR antenna is devised because conventional adaptive algorithms cannot be employed due to the operational principle of the ESPAR antenna. This paper proposes a 6-dimensional dichotomizing search which is a simple algorithm that converges quickly within a 1000 symbol training sequence. This is a requirement of the wireless ad-hoc network system that the ESPAR antenna will be integrated into.
