Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently wireless ad-hoc networks have attracted much attention as autonomously formed networks without infrastructure. Application of directive antennas to wireless ad-hoc networks can improve the performance of system while omni antennas are mainly supposed to be used in the networks. In this paper, we statistically estimated the improvement of effectiveness of route discoveries, reducing consumed time required to discover the route, with the application of directed antennas to on-demand routing in ad-hoc networks.
