Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose an OFDM system with a modified predistorter to improve the BER performance with a low outband emission. In the proposed system, input data are mapped to the sets of signal point series where each set of signal point series are mapped on the subcarriers in each cluster. Then, the peak power of the OFDM signal is reduced with the PTS technique. Through the constant peak power circuit, the OFDM signal is limited to the saturation amplitude of the HPA. Compared with the OFDM system using the conventional predistorter, the amount of signal compression through the constant peak power circuit in the proposed system is small. In addition, the minimum Euclidean distance of the signal point series in the proposed OFDM system is larger than that in the conventional OFDM system. Thus, the proposed system can improve the BER performance with the low outband emission.
