Abstract(in English) | In this paper, a performance comparison between space-time coding (STC) and trellis-coded co-channel interference canceller (TCC) is presented assuming frequency selective fading channels. STC is a form of a transmit diversity scheme as it transmits multiple signals using different antennas in order to carry a single data stream. The TCC is a form of a multi-user detector, which can estimate multiple signals from different transmitters. This paper describes the difference between STC and TCC, and then provides the BER performance of them over frequency selective fading channels. It is shown by computer simulations that TCC can outperform STC. |
