A Space-Time Turbo Equalizer in Frequency Selective MIMO Channels

Abstract(in English) A computationally efficient Space-Time Turbo equalization algorithm is derived for frequency selective Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) channels. The proposed algorithm is implemented as a MIMO detector consisting of a Soft-Input Soft-Output (SISO) MMSE equalizer followed by SISO channel decoders for the multiple users, which operates in an iterative fashion to enhance the signal detection performance. Simulation results show that the derived MIMO Turbo detector effectively suppresses both Multiple Access Interference (MAI) components and Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) components through iterations
