Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For realization of wide-band and high-quality TDMA mobile radio communication systems, it is necessary to introduce space-time equalizers for overcomingntersymbol interference caused by severe frequency-selective fading. So far, we had developed a space-time equalizer using adaptive antenna array processing and maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) and had evaluated the fundamental performance by indoor experiments using a fading simulator. In this paper, we report our development of equipment for field experiments and show measured bit error rate (BER) performance in Yokosuka research park (YRP), Significantly improved BER performance compared with an adaptive array processing are provided in frequency-selective fading channels that the delay spread is correspond to a few symbols duration.
