Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A transmission system utilizing both space and time domains is studied in this paper. As such systems, space-time coding and BLAST (Bell laboratory LAyered Space-Time Architecture) have attracted a lot of interest. In this space-time scenario, multiple antennas are employed in both the transmitter and the receiver. The information data is transmitted at the same carrier frequency by using multiple antennas. In the receiver, these signals are separated and estimated by signal processing technique using channel information. In this paper, this system model is named as space-time transmission (STT). Trellis-coded co-channel interference canceller (TCC), which has been studied as a form of multi-user detector, is applied to STT scenario. The BER performance of TCC over a frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channel is given assuming four transmit antennas, three or four receive antennas, and channel estimation by the RLS algorithm.
