Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Applying a transmission mode as variable state into a coded modulation method, we achieve a one-way multi-mode transmission. Using a multi-level block coded modulation and the Viterbi decoding, this method has both the multi-mode and high coding gain. In this paper, the proposed system is described, and distance characteristics of the code are investigated. Finally, simulation results are shown in order to evaluate the method.
