Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposed the frame structure with transmission gap for data channel (TGDC) for achieving accurate signal-to-interference plus background noise power ratio (SIR) required for adaptive data modulation based on the channel conditions, and evaluated throughput performance in formerly proposed multipath interference canceller (MPIC) for the high-speed packet transmission in W-CDMA forward link with 5MHz-bandwidth. The computer simulation results showed that the maximum throughput with TGDC could be increased by approximately 3.8 % and 5.4 % compared to that without TGDC using the chip-based and symbol-based interference power measurement, respectively for the number of multipaths of L=1. It was also seen although the throughput performance with TGDC was almost identical to that without TGDC using chip-based interference power measurement for L=2, it was slightly improved (approximately 3 %) for L=3 because the impact of multipath interference (MPI) from data channel became larger due to the decreased signal power.
