Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a transmit pattern selection diversity scheme for DS/CDMA adaptive array antenna systems to effectively optimize its beam form at the terminal under the environment that angle of arrival is uniformly distributed around the terminal. In the proposed system, each terminal with adaptive array antenna prepares some beam patterns using path control, and selects the best transmit beam pattern that minimizes interference radiation to the neighboring base stations. Computer simulation confirms that the proposed scheme can reduce the average transmit power at the terminal and improve the received carrier-to-interference plus noise power ratio (CINR) at the base station.
