Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, SDMA (Space Division Multiple Access) system has been proposed to increase system capacity. We have so far proposed SDMA channel assignment algorithms which assure not only the signal quality of new user but also the one of active users to control the forced termination rate. In this paper, we modify the algorithms for multimedia environments, and evaluate the traffic performance of SDMA/TDMA based multimedia communications system by computer simulation. Our simulation results show that the SDMA/TDMA system can effectively support multimedia services with various QoS (Quality of Services).
