A Downlink Multiplexing Method in TDD Packet Radio Networks with a Multibeam Adaptive Array

Abstract(in English) In previous studies, a PRMA permitting multiple reservation with a multibeam adaptive array has been investigated considering uplink performance only. This paper proposes a downlink multiplexing method for TDD packet radio networks with the multibeam adaptive array. When we select transmission terminals, the method limits to terminals with long packet delay to decrease processing load. The transmission weight is calculated using the array response vector obtained in uplink, and SINR of each terminal is estimated to decide multiplexing possibility. The computer simulation results show the improvement in throughput and average packet delay without increasing processing load.
