Downlink Adaptive Antennas for TDD-CDMA Systems

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a downlink beamforming method for TDD-CDMA systems. The proposed method determines the weights based on minimum total transmit power (MTTP) criterion, where the total transmit power is minimized on the condition that each terminal's signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) is maintained above his target value. In the process of downlink beamforming, we consider not only each terminal's required SINR but also the number of RAKE fingers implemented in each terminal. Numerical results show that the proposed beamforming method enhances the capacity of multimedia CDMA systems.
