Optical Subcarrier Multiplexing Transmission for Adaptive Array Antenna

Abstract(in English) We propose a subcarrier multiplexing (SCM) transmission fiber link system configuration for adaptive array antennas. In this system, the SCM signal comprises all antenna branch signals and all local signals for original frequency conversions. With the simple configuration, the phase difference among antenna branches can be maintained to be constant in spite of fiber length fluctuation. Furthermore, only a pair of optical transceivers and optical fibers for downstream and upstream lines is required between a central station (CS) and a base station (BS). It has many advantages including the reduction of size, weight and maintenance cost of BS.
