Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose ad-hoc node repeater in Wireless Home Link (WHL) to mitigate the effect of shadowing caused by human bodies or other obstacles. In this system, when a WHL node is not doing any communication, it plays a role of a repeater retransmitting the signal without regenerating, In addition to the direct path, there will be several paths reaching the receiver through repeaters. Signals arrived from different paths can be combined at the receiver using OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modulation. Thus the blocking probability of a system due to shadowing is decreased and it leads to improvement of the performance. Other important advantages of the proposed system are that it does not require any complex routing calculation and/or base stations (BSs) setting on ceiling.
