Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) OFDM modulation, which has attracted attention as one of the communication method for fourth generation mobile communication system and high speed wireless LAN, has large peak power problem. As an alternative solution for peak power problem, partial transmit sequence (PTS) has been proposed, in which, subcarriers of OFDM are divided into several clusters and the phase of each cluster is rotated by a complex weight to minimize PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio). However, the weight of phase rotation must be sent to the mobile terminal using side information channel. In this paper, we propose the weights estimation method at the receiver to avoid weights transmission in side information channel. Here we consider two methods, the first one uses pilot signal and the second one is a blind estimation by changing the weight pattern. We evaluate tha performance using computer simulation to confirm the possibility of the proposed system.
