Abstract(in English) | Return signals of RADAR contain target signal of ships and noise of sea clutter. We measured two ships as RADAR targets embedded in sea clutter using an X-band RADAR with a frequency of 9,380MHz and tried to detect targets. In this article, supposed that observed sea clutter do not obey any known distributions, we use non-parametric CFAR method, which is independent of the distribution of sea clutter. As a result of this, we succeeded to discriminate the targets. In order to obtain optimum threshold level, we considered image-processing method using the fractal dimension. The relationship between fractal dimension and optimum threshold level was obtained. |
