Ocean Wave Observation by CW mm Radar with Narrow Beam

Abstract(in English) New ocean wave spectra observation method using CW mm Doppler radar with narrow beam is proposed. The method receives back reflection signal induced intermittently specified in swinging specula reflection caused water wave surface movement. Moreover, wave velocity and wave propagation direction are estimated by vector analysis using the Doppler spectra data of multi-azimuth directions. These are evaluated successfully by ship-bone BBM radar.
