A New Fading Compensation Scheme under Fast Fading Environment for OFDM Packet Transmission System

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new fading compensation scheme for OFDM packet transmission system. The OFDM packet transmission system includes channel estimation(CE) symbols in a transmission packet and demodulates all transmission OFDM symbol with the propagation characteristics estimated by CE symbols. However, the accuracy of the estimated propagation characteristics decreases at the end of the packet when we transmit a long packet by OFDM packet transmission system under fast fading environment. In the proposed scheme, we generate a replica of the transmission symbol in each subcarrier, periodically from a received OFDM symbol and the propagation characteristics estimated by CE symbols. By comparing the replica with a received symbol in each subcarrier that generates the replica, we update the estimated propagation characteristics periodically. By Computer simulations, this paper shows the update period of the proposed fading offset compensation scheme under fast and slow multipath Rayleigh fading environment.
