Abstract(in English) This paper investigated by computer simulations the performance of interference suppression of coherent adaptive antenna array diversity(CAAAD)receiver with a linear array antenna and a 2-dimensional array antenna arrangements in W-CDMA reverse link. The simulation results showed that the 2-dimensional arry antenna arrangement is more effective in interference suppression for the case when the azimuth angle of interfering users are close to that of the desire user, while elevation angles are much different. However, it was qualiatively clarified that in the macro cell system mode with the high base station antenna height, the linear array antenna arrangement is superior to 2-dimensional array antenna arrangement assuming the asme number of antennas. Tis is because that beam width in azimuth directions of 2-dimensional array antenna becomes larger than that of linear array antenna due to the decreased degrees of freedom. Consequently, it is cleared that the linear antenna array arrangement in CAAAD receiver is more practical and effective to the interference suppression in macro cell system.
