Abstract(in English) This paper evaluated laboratory experiments the performance of coherent adaptive antenna array diversity(CAAAD)receiver using the common weights for Rake combined paths(per-user weight generation)with the number of interfering users and angle spread as parameters in W-CDMA reverse link. It was shown from the experiments that the irrespective the number of interfering users, the achieved BER performance with per-user weight generation scheme is almost identical to with independent weight generation per path(per-path weight generation)when the angular spread is within + / -5 degrees. It was reported that the measured angular spread in macro cell environment at Tokyo down town is within several degrees with the cell diameter of several km for the base station with high elevation antenna height. Thus, it is said that CAAAD receiver with per-user weight generation is appropriate in macro cell system.
