Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Both Viterbi decoder which uses to solve convolutional code and MLSE which compensates the distortion due to multi path fading are using Viterbi algorithm. Therefore, when we imagine a virtual coder which unites convolutional coder and channel impulse response, we can unite two decoder into the only one Viterbi decoder. We call it as UDMV(United Demodulator of MLSE and Viterbi decoder). We improved the performance of UDMV using adaptive constraint length method which decides the constraint length of transmission coder by delay time of the channel. We call it as ACL-UDMV.
